Poem for my dad.

March11

This is a poem for the man that had been in my life since I can remember. He is my fathet and my dad.

I met you when I was two
I didn’t really know you
I had never had a father in my life
and now all of a sudden I did
I don’t remember a lot from my child hood
and I don’t have many memories of me and you
But as a child I knew you were always there
But when you and mum got divorced that’s when I go to know you
That’s when you took the time to spend time with me
talk to me about your life
and told me stories of your childhood
Listen to me if I was down
There for me if I needed you
supported me through tough decision
and was always there to make me laugh
you are the one I want at my graduation
you are the one I want to be there when your grandson is born.
You are the one I want to give me away at my wedding
and you are the one I want to know and love for the rest of my life
because you are my father
Just because we are not related by blood doesn’t mean your not.
You chose me as your daughter which makes are bond extra special
I know you will always be there because you are my dad.

Poem for a ‘father’

March11

This poem I wrote about my biological father. Him not being in my life as a child and turning up when I was 16 was a big thing. he turned out to be nothing like what I wanted.

When I was younger I used to think
what if you were here
would you be nice
would you be mean
would you love me as much as I want to love you
is it wrong to wish you loved me
is it wrong to hope my life could start over
so you could see me grow
so all the tears I shed
you would see
every word I said
you would hear
is it wrong to wish you here
is it wrong to think of you?
I now you know you well
and wish that I had never met you.
I wish none of the bad things you did were true
and that you never said the things you said
That a real dad would never say to there daughter
I know now the perfect image I had of you
if far from the truth
you are not the father that I wanted there for me
I never want you to be there when I graduate
I never want you there when my son is born
I never want you there when I get married
I never want you back in my life
Just as you didn’t want me in yours when I was born.

Poem for Grandad

March11

This is one of the poems that will be in my piece. My Grandad was one of the most important people in my life. He will always be remembered.

So heaven has received another angel
The night sky another star
Your life has become a loving memory
I know you will never be far.
I know you are watching over me
As my life goes on
I will treasure the memories I have of you
I cant believe your gone.
You were a loving caring Grandad
You were there for me a lot
You will always hold a place in my heart
A loving treasured spot.
You were really one in a million
A cut above the rest
All that knew you would agree
You simply were the best.
So Grandad I will say goodbye
I love and miss you with all my heart
But as long as I have my loving memories
We will never be too far apart.

Test one, of ripping paper.

February20

This is my video of testing how to rip up the paper to reveal a word. I think it works quite well. I have decided I will be useing this technique to link my songs together.

Brothers video that inspired me

February20

After watching this video that my brother put on YouTube. I realised how technically interseting I could make my piece and I really like the idea of the rewinding of the ripping paper, to reveal a word.
